ok i have no actual "studio" when i record, i just have my room(I'm 17 for christ sake). and i feel it has sh*tty acoustics for recording drums...but dont ask.

I`m buying new monitors for my projectstudio. I`m leaning towards Adam S3A but I`m worried that they might be too big for my small controlroom. The controlroom is aprox. 9 squaremeters.. Are the S3A too big? Should I go with one of the other (smaller) models? (S2,5A?..S2A?)

Any thoughts?...

Howdy folks.

In case there are any newbs out there wondering can the room really make a difference 2when recording drums or how much of a difference..well BIG and sometimes in a literal sense.

The kit and proper tuning helps and alose playing to click really tighten things ups.

Hi all, can any of you guy/gals give me some advise on room tuning. I have a great room good equiptment and need to know if there is a external eq/tuner out there.

Would it be a better idea to seperate this room and create 2 small rooms or to leave it as one room. Im realizing this is probly the wrong area to post this but for recording drums, guitars in this size room would it be possible to create a good acoustic environment for ambient room mics, or better to just deaden the room? the ceiling are only 7 feet tall. any ideas would be appreciated.

I have read a good bit of lit. regarding recording electric guitars but I still have a couple of questions.

How important is it to put the cab in iso when you are using an SM57 close to the grill?

My chain is Diezel -> SM57(bout 3 inches off the grill) -> Sebatron Thorax -> Kinda crappy A/D converters.
