Recording guitar/bass/vocals in my room
Hello all! I'm a guitarist and a songwriting, and have only been really recording my songs on my little tape recorder so I don't forget them. I'd like to set up a system where I could record my guitar/bass/vocal tracks digitally to my computer.
I'm pretty familiar with Audacity, so I'm planning on using that for my mastering software.

Bedroom studio need a little advice
Being disabled and really not able to do much other than record some stuff in my bedroom I wanted to get something easy to use yet be able to make a semi pro quality CD.
I was looking at the Yamaha AW2400, would that be a good choice?

How do I calibrate my room?
I am just starting out and have my room semi treated to be as dead as I can get on a cheap budget. I am going to be getting monitors soon. When I do. How do I calibrate then to the room? So I get a flat responce on all frequencies?
I want to get the most honest sound I can.
Thanks

Please help me set up a decent mixing room for cheap.
My room size is 113" x 124"
I have a M-Audio audiophile 2496 sound card
I do not have monitors as of yet. (Please tell me what I should get)
I am thinking of making the insulation bass traps for all corners in the room. Is this wise?

monitor noise.. room electrical problem?
Hi all. I just recently purchased a pair of Yamaha hs50m's which I'm using in conjunction with my Focusrite saffire firewire audio interface. To make a long story short I was getting some dreadful noise through the monitors. When I unplug the power supply from my laptop and run from battery power, the noise dissapears completely and my entire system is functional.

recording room acoustics
Our recording room has two straight walls and one curved wall joining the other two. One of the straight walls and the curved wall is of rock, while the other straight wall is mainly glass doors and windows.

Need Drum Recording / Room Treatment Advice
I recently purchased two AT3035's to mic drums and vocals mainly. I also have two sm57's. What would be the best way to distribute these mics over the kit. i was thinking of using the 57's as overheads... one at3035 on the kick and one on the snare? obviously the at3035's would be better overheads.

Vocals in a large room
I have 2 weeks access to my old schools band room and I cant decide whether or not to record the vocals in the center of the 4 level orchestra/band room or in one of the wooden instrument storage closets that have doors. I would like to use my MXL 960 Tube mic for some songs for the warmth in my voice and a 57 for the 'cold and narrow' sounding songs (thats the best way i can put it).

Cheaper Setup for Room Sound?
I just moved into a jam space, the dimentions are sometihng like 12' ceiling, 12' or more wide, and id say about 24' long. The walls are just plain, and the floor is cement. The room is real loud, and will probly echo a bit. Any suggestions on one of the better, cheaper, temporary ways to get a half decent sound in a room like that?
