So I'm recording a full length album of my band. Were a guitar, drums and vocal duo. we play on 1969 Slingerland drums, 20 inch kick, 12 inch tom, 16 inch floor tom, 14 inch acrolite Ludwig snane. Remo Powerstroke heads all around. The guitar amp is a Silvertone with a 1484 head and Silvertone solid state 100 watt cab with 2 12's.

I have two of my Shure a27m modification kits to spare

Ill gladly send em out for the cost of shipping only..

what this conversion kit does is provide enough vertical clearance with the Shure a27m to allow any two microphones(LDC or otherwise) to be run head to head for Blumlein, mid-side, XY, etc.. as it stands there isn't a commercial product availabile that allows such clearance.

Shure Beta56 vs. Audix D2

Ok guys...so I have a budget of around 300$ for a pair of deccent tom/allaround mics...what do you think is better?
Shure beta56 or Audix D2? they are both in the same price range...but I have no expirince with anyone of them!...
is anyone here exprinced with recording with anyone of them or both?
