Which one is worth to buy and better for recording screaming vocal of Metal?

This summer I plan to buy some gear to get a small studio started. Nothing crazy, just a firepod, mixer and some mics (to start).

been debating this with a friend. I'm pretty sure they're considered the same mic, but he thinks a 52A must be a rehash or a cheaper copy of a 52. what's the deal?

I will be taking all my stuff on the airplane back home in a couple days. Is my mic at risk of damage if it were run through the machine? I assume it would.

I'm not sure that this is the correct forum to be posting this question in, but it seemed to be the most relevant (I will delete/repost in a different one if desired)... I'm in a band and am looking for some good earphones to take with me on the road/when I travel (instead of constantly worrying that my Sony MDR-7506s will get crushed in our van).

I need a vocal microphone for multitrack recordings of liveband's. I'd like to know the difference between the Neumann KMS105 and the Shure KSM9... Let me know what your experiences are with these types.

Im looking to start a studio sometime in the near / distant future. I was looking into getting the Shure SM57 drum mic kit, and I was hoping to get some opinions on the kit. I've done some reviews on the kits as is, and they seem to be pretty popular, but I was hoping to get the opinions of some seasoned veterans.

Looking for some serious answers for a good pre for my Shure SM7B.
I particularly do lots of voice over reads for radio and looking for something to give me that added oompf from my dynamic mic.

I will be purchasing the Shure ksm44 or the RODE nt 1a. Big price difference, but forget about price. Which one would you choose?
Is there someone out there who has had experience with these mics that might be able to give there impression on sound quality. :?
