any experience with a 60's era Shure Vocal Master?

Forums

howdy!
ok...so my friend's dad offered to give me his Shure Vocal master PA setup for free. .i've never heard of these, but i guess it was pretty common back in the old days. (i'm pretty sure it's discontinued). but anyway, i was checkin it out and it seems to be all tube and kinda looks more like an old guitar head than a PA.

Old Shure 520 SLB ?'s

I just purchased an old Shure Green Bullet with a metal handle/ switch and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how old it is etc.

It's a 520 SLB with what appears to be the original transducer. It's marked Shure Brothers, Made in USA.

Model # 99C86HB

Anyone got any info on what I've got here?...

I'm new to this forum, and have posted this on two threads.

Shure 545SD Unidyne III vs SM57. What's the difference?

So; I was talking with a friend of mine and we both professed our ignorance regarding the difference between these two mikes. Does one have a transformer and not the other? Aren't the capsules essentially the same? Was the SM57 simply an upgrade on cosmetics?

It would be interesting if anyone had some insight on this. at least to me, anyways!

Shure AXS 4. Same thing as PG81?

I've been using a Shure AXS 4 off and on for the last 5 years or so. It was the only condenser mic I had access to, and has been great at recording acoustic guitar and okay on some vocals. I can't find much info about it, though. I noticed that it looks externally identical to the currently manufactured Shure PG81.
