Audix OM6, OM7 / Sennheiser e945 / Shure Beta 58 / Electro-Voice ND967
Hi
I'm looking for a good mic at around 200 to 300$ for vocals (with westernguitar sound). I don't have the chance to try out several mics so I'm tied to get recommendations from a forum.
I've read several topics and I think that I'm looking for a dynamic mic because it's more robust and easier to handle. I'm specially interested in these ones:
Shure Vert Bar mod to accomodate LDCs in blumlein, etc...
I had the hardest time finding a vert bar to suit my needs with my LDCs, having enough clearance between the two mounting posts to run them head to head. .Below is a modification to the Shure a27m vert bar that will allow plenty of clearance.
Cracks and Pops with a Shure KSM27
I'm experiencing a wide variety o fuzzy noises with a KSM 27 from Shure. I've got another two condenser mics, and they don't show the same symptoms, although they are part of a drum mic collection from Sampson. Any tips on what could I'll be doing wrong when recording with this mic.

Shure SM7 vs. . Shure SM-57/SM-58 for hip hop vocals
I was wondering how much of an upgrade the Shure SM7 is over the SM-57/SM58?
I'm also looking at the Electro-Voice RE-20 and the Sennheiser MD 421.
Any help would be appreciated. Right now I use a Audio-Technica AT-3035...which I like. However, I want a good dynamic so I have some variety.
Shure SM82 - anyone know how to use this thing?
A local pawn shop had a couple of these mics and after doing a little research on them decided to pick one up for the relative bargain price they're selling them at. The mic is an odd one...a broadcast mic with built in amplifier and limiter that puts out a line level signal. It is set up to use a battery (that's no longer available) or phantom power.
Shure SM57
i just recieved a Shure sm57 from ebay.. in the box it contained the mic itself with no lead. I have a lead from my previous PG48 and it fits perfectly however my computer does not recognise the microphone and when its plugged in theres nothing that says that the microphone if working
any ideas what the problem could be?

Preamp Choice for Shure KSM44
Hey guys,
Ive recently received an offer by a decent local band to record their first official EP. Steping up to the challenge would mean id need to fork out some cash on more gear, at present I'm using Pro Tools M Powered using a delta 1010 card.

AKG D112 vs. . Shure beta 52
so tell me what you guys think one vs the other I'm about to buy and I've had great experience with the D112 but I'd hate to miss out on a great mic just because the one might be more popular. Reviews seem to be pretty even. Thanks

Identifying a Shure SM57 - Unidyne III
So I acquired a box of old miscellaneous audio equipment, rummaging through it I found mostly junk.
Then I came upon the familiar dark-gray die-cast cylinder shaped object that tapers toward the bottom.

Opinions on Shure Drum Mic Package
Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with the Shure's 6 drum mic package deal. What did you think of the sound? I would like to get some good mics for recording drums at a price that isn't too great ($300-$400). I have an SM57, a 58 and a pretty nice condenser mic (though the name escapes me). Ideas? Thanks for the help.
