Just wondering if you guys mught have any suggestions for editing/mastering software for the Mac platform. I'm running Logic and am a bit frustrated by it's editing capabilites (or lack thereof). I really don't need "mastering" software, per se, as I'm going to be outsourcing my final mixes to someone more qualified, but I'd like the option to tweak my mixes beyond what Logic offers.

I've got a fire pod and want to be able to make my bands live recordings sound better.

..and why?

I'm looking torwards getting the Drumkit From Hell 2 sample library + sampler and I would like some opinions on various sequencing/recording apps from the perspective of programing drums...

i heard there was one that bob claremount made but it is not OSX

What is the cleanest software compressor plugin ? There was a positive review of the PSP Mastercomp in a recent TapeOp which appears to be clean enough for mastering.

Are there any software compressors that are transparent?

seems i have a few "limited versions" of production software that came with equipment and was wondering what people here prefer to use as their base.

i have:

Ableton Live 4.1.2
Cakewalk Sonar LE
Cubase LE

Did a search and did not find this so here goes.
Instead of starting with equipment, would like to start with a room and do the math or use software to determine how much wattage to put in it to obtain a certain dB.

Anyone know where to start to get there?
Room is approx 100x60x20.
Standard sheetrock walls.

I running a pro tools setup through a Soundcraft Ghost...whats the best mastering software out there?

I'm a saxophonist looking to create some drum and bass smooth jazz r&b beats. I have Sonar 4.0 and I'm looking for a plugin that will allow me to
create some quick funky beats for my songs, then the plugin will add the midi hits in the timeline for me. The plugin should allow me to change tempo on the fly also. Any ideas?

I am seeking to make my own vocal samples but wish to use different voices for different samples so I am looking for a "software" that can help with the tweaking of my voice, any links please? Thanks.
