Am having DESPERATE trouble with my Asus A8V causing pops and clicks as soon as I do very much. I'm looking for a tool that monitors the activity on the PCI bus. i.e. how busy it is when I'm running an arrangement. Pro Tools has one but I cant find any simple utitlity on the net that will do this. Anyone point me in the right direction?

I bought a used Roland EXR-5 and want to use it as a Midi controller to record on a computer with Cubase LE. I will need some driver or software so that the computer recognizes the MIDI info, dont I? I did some searching and didn't really find anything that matched my setup/problem. I was using an 828 along with a Mackie CFX-20 for the pres/monitoring for the longest time, until recently I upgraded my computer to a home built. I also upgraded my interface to a MOTU 2408 mkIII PCIe and removed the mixer from the equation. I picked up a used Focusrite Octopre and installed the digital card.

Does anyone use a program that is designed to track only? Making the switch from Sonar to logic express is turning out to be quite a challenge for me. And since I am planning on mixing in Sonar anyway...was wondering if there is anysuch software someone can give me feedback on.

It might help to clarify this a little...I record on a macbook and then I do my mixing on my PC.

In 2005 I purchased the Waves IR-1 Native Reverb. Nearly 2 years later my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Waves IR-1. (I've come to find out that Waves no longer uses disk based authorization. Instead they now use an Ilok USB key.) When I tried to authorize the software again, Waves would NOT allow it.
