question abouts ohms, chaining speakers...
Ok, so basically, I'm trying to think about how i'm gonna set up the pa system my band is going to be buying, we're gonna have 2 15" Yamaha clubv mains which run at 8 ohms. now i think i read somewhere that if you chain 2 speakers together, if they were originally at 8 ohms, they would then run at 4 ohms each? is this true.

Hello all,
Im having in my STudio 2 pairs of speakers, Dynaudio BM15A and
Event TR8 XL..
Im not really satisfied with the sound...
Im a House Music producer and I need more clear sound of my speakers
I decide to sell them both and buy A.D.A.M. speakers.
That was a recommendation of a friend of mine. He said check S2.5A or P22.

Small-ish speakers for black box theater
I'm a techie at my high school, and I'm in the midst of putting together a proposal for our producer in order to acquire some better sound equipment over the next few years. However, these speakers (and, if they are passive, their respective amps) are something that I would like to purchase by April or so.

Hello, all. Long time, no post. Long time, no need.
However, I finally have 'cracked' into the industry and am co-producing a band. However, I'm having trouble with one significant thing.

loading a cabinet with speakers
When companies load a cabinet with speakers...say for instance a 4X12" cabinet. It appears that most companies like Marshall, or Hughes & Kettner use 4 of the same kind of speaker.
But on the other hand Bogner cabinets come with 2 speakers (Celestion V30's) and the other two speakers are (G12T75) different. And Avatar speaker cabinets can come various ways as well.

FIREWIRE SOLO SOUND FROM LEFT SPEAKER ONLY
I JUST BOUGHT A NEW FIREWIRE SOLO, AND SOUND ONLY COMES FROM THE LEFT CHANNEL WHILE RECORDING. THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO HEAR YOURSELF. I'VE FIGURED OUT HOW TO RECORD IN BOTH CHANNELS BY SWITCHING MY COOL EDIT PRO RECORDING SETTINGS TO RECORD FROM LEFT CHANNEL ONLY. THIS ENABLES ME TO PLAY THE RECORDING BACK IN STEREO BUT WHILE I'M RECORDING, I ONLY GET SOUND FROM MY LEFT. SOMEONE HELP!

Loud Speakers
I recently made the horrific mistake of performing a listening test on some Bowers and Wilkins. I say mistake because now I must have some and that will require large sums of money (which I am struggling to attain). I was looking at the B & W CM1’s, which are bookshelf speakers. Powered by a Rotel Power amp connected with MIT cables.

Active fullrange speakers comparison
I am about to buy a pair of active speakers for our rehearsal studio (18 square metres), mainly for voice and acoustic instruments to come out. (We also have drums, electric bass, sometimes guitar or keyboards but we still don't know if it would be better for all the instruments to come out of the PA speakers). I made a little research and found:
Mackie SRM 350 539euro
