Mixing mics for vocals?
So, I've been recording long enough at this point to realize the pros and cons of dynamic and condenser mics. Perhaps the most frustrating thing to me is recording vocals: I really like the sound of a condenser, but I just do not have the money to drop on a condenser mic that actually works well for vocals.

Floor tom/ Vocal Mic.
Hello all.
I'm not on a small budget, but I'm also not on a huge one.
I currently have a small diaphragm condenser mic for vocals.
For drums I have a set of condenser overheads, three SM57's and a Beta52 for the kick. I need to get one more Mic for the set. (Its a 5 piece)

Vocal Microphone recommendation with JLM Baby Animal Dual
Hi guys,
i am currently in the market for a microphone suitable for rock/hardrock male vocals. from the various posts i have looked at... plenty are recommending the Bluebird, NT1000 and the AT4040... (I am looking at spending between $250 - $350..)
Budget Vocal and Overhead mics
Okay, I am looking for a nice vocal mic, for about £200. So far I have been looking at the RODE NT1000 & NT2A and the BLUE Bluebird.
I am also looking for a matched pair of condensers that could be used for drum overheads, but also acoustic miking. The RODE NT5 is what I have my eyes set on at the moment.
Am I on the right track?

Best Vocal Mic for ~$1000
I am under a budget, and looking for a mic in the $600-1000 range that will do best for my vocal needs. I sing mostly Jazz, and intimate stuff, I need something that has a warm texture, but clear sound, a mic that will produce the sound in my voice that will surround the listener and reel them in... so, it needs to be very rounded and not too colored... any suggestions?

good and cheap vocal mic
I'm looking for a good and cheap vocal mic. It will be used on all kinds of vocals, all from the highest pithed female vocals to deepest male vocals and metal growling and screams.
I don't have a big budget as I am a poor student ;) but I would rather prefer that you'd recommend a little expensive mic over a crappy one :) Just the best for the money.
thanks in advace.

basic vocal Micing q
Hi, reasonably simple question which requires a simple answer...i hope.
I am running an SM58 into a MOTU Ultralite which is connected by firewire to my G4. I am recording spoken vocals into bias peak and only require a dry signal as all the effects will be applied after recording.
