Vocal mic recommendations, please...
Hey guys-
I am slowly but surely getting more and more into home recording. I have recorded in big studios, middle of the road studios, and home studios, and I am beginning to enjoy simple, minimalistic studio techniques (i.e. 4 track cassette, 8 track reel to reel).

Boutique vs. . . Mainstay? ~$1K vocal mic?
So here's my quandary:
I'm feeding a MOTU Traveller (haha, yes, MOTU is something funny these days, but it serves my needs well) with a twinpack of Eurekas and an ISA220, but since my best mic is a C4000b, I think it's time to add a nice mic to the closet. I need it to excel on vocals (male and female) as well as acoustic guitar.

Vocal mic suggestion
I am about to record a male vocalist who has the same tone, range and style as the main singer of the Gypsy kings.
I would like to know of a good mic in the $400. - $500 range. I will use UA 610 solo as my pre.
Merci a bunch!

Audix om7 vs. . Audio-Technica ae 6100 vocal mics
hi there i was wondering if anyone had used these two mics and could tell me what one they think is best interms of
1. overall sound quality
2. gain before feedback
3.ability to cut through a loud mix (think rock and metal bands)
thanks
AKG C414 or Royer R-121
I am looking to buy a good vocal mic priced around $1000. I have heard so many good things about both of these mics but i do not know which way to go. i live in a small town in south GA so i can't really rent either of these mics and research myself so if i buy it would be a blind purchase.

Live Wireless Vocal Microphones...
Greetings!
We are in need of live wireless vocal mics. We have a group that sings two-three times a week at our church and they normally have six or seven vocalists.
Right now they drag cables across the stage and things get bunched up, not to mention some of our microphones are on their last legs.

I need some advice choosing a vocal mic
I am building my first project studio and I need some advice choosing a good tube based condenser mic for vocals.
my budget is roughly $500-$600 and while I usually prefer to buy used, the delicate circuitry of these mics makes me want to go for a new one so I can be sure there are no surprises.

Need a "nice" all around vocal mic
I need a nice all around vocal mic, but with it mainly being used for several different female vocals. And as my topic of this thread suggests, I want some "nicer" then what I have which is a AT3035 and Beta 57a. Budget is $500.
