Vocal Distortion on the M-Audio Mobile Pre
Hi.. I just purchased an M-Audio Mobile pre, and having some issues recording vocals. I am using the live 4.0 that came with the hardware (until I purchase something better), and my setup is straightforward. My Guitar-mic to the mobile pre to my computer via usb. No mixers, no nothing. I am able to record guitar tracks perfectly.

Live vocal channel strip
Hi,
I'm looking for a vocal channel strip or set of rack gear to lug around with me to practice and live venues. I primarily need it for phantom power, compression (really squash it), and maybe eq to filter out feedback. I am also considering using it to output into and in ear monitoring system.

recommend a good acoustic guitar and vocal mic
I just got a G5 mac with Pro Tools and the Mbox. I do acoustic recordings alone. Guitar, Vocals, and a little acoustic percussion/shakers. So it's pretty simple. but I'm wondering where to go from here. can anyone recommend a good acoustic/vocal mic? I read the monitor post and I know I should get some soon as I'm using headphones.
new vocal mic for male rock/blues
I'm going to pick up a new vocal mic soon to be used on male rock/blues. I'm looking in the $500 - $1000 range. If it helps, the preamps I've got to chose from are the Focusrite ISA428 and Vintech 1272. Will also probably try using with acoustic instruments and distant mic for kick drum.
Regards,
Joe
