my voice sounds like theres a phaser on it
hey all
i have a small start up home studio. i have a Marshall 990, a Rolls rp 220 preamp, and a vs 1880. when i record vocals, it sounds like theres a phaser on my voice. any ideas what this could be? do i need to flip the phase switch on my preamp? i dont have any effects on my vox when i record or listen back.

Voice-over mic recommendations
I'm thinking of getting an Audio-Technica AT4040 for voice-over recording (primarily male voices).
Is there anything of comparable quality at a lower price? I need to save wherever I can but make as few compromises as possible when it comes to quality.

Better Female Voice sound
I've been working with live sound for years and am just getting into more "serious" recording. My immediate goals are to improve my sound on female vocals and acoustic guitar. My first order of business is to treat my room, and that is going to take a few months and a big chunk of my current budget.

Active speakers for voice and acoustic instruments
I am about to buy a pair of active speakers for our rehearsal studio (18 square metres), mainly for voice and acoustic instruments to come out. (We also have drums, electric bass, sometimes guitar or keyboards but we still don't know if it would be better for all the instruments to come out of the PA speakers). I made a little research and found:
what kind of mic for this voice?
I am currently using a Bluebird to mic Dave our lead singers voice in my basement. I was just wondering if there was any other mic that you all would recommend. http:// - go hear to hear his soft and sultry voice ha.

TC Helicon voice pro
Hey! new here!
Anyone has tried the new TC Helicon voice pro?
How does it sounds?
Maybe a silly question. can the voice pro control and effect simultaneous voice tracks in Pro Tools? even if the effects we apply are different?
