Anyone try a ART Voice Channel yet?
Just wondering if anybody has any personal opinions on the thing. I know some on here like the Golds if you upgrade the tubes. Its probably too early in its production to get a lot of good reviews on it, but just wondering.

I need to make a voice have the trendy synthesizer keyboard sound - is this possible with SoundForge, or... what do you recommend?
Thanks!

Recording female voices on a "warm" mic?
What kind of results can I expect from this?
I'm a budget studio owner who only owns one condenser mic, an AT3035. It runs thru a GT Brick preamp, an FMR RNC1773 condenser, and then thru my E-MU 0404 PCI card into Cubase SX3.

Voice-over Gear
I hope some of your opinions will help me decide on some upgrades to the voice-over DAW where I work (media production and post). We have 5 nice MacPros, but the VO machine is a G4. It should be enough for the audio we need to do. The interface is an older MOTU 828 (not mk).

Mic for recording limited voice
I have a RODE nt1a which I have found to be OK, nothing special. It seems to pickup what's happening in the next room better than my voice.
I have a very midrange limited voice. I do not consider myself a vocalist more of a stylist...LOL.
But I can sing the songs I write.

Grovely, Rich, Resonant Voice - Tips?
Aside from having a voice over artist with pipes, does anybody have tips on get a real deep, resonant voice? I'm talking about that voice that just about sounds like an animal talking, how a lion would talk, almost percussive, like a tiger purring. Know what I mean?
I'm looking for EQ suggestions, possibly other effects, as well as mic technique/hardware suggestions.

Help building voice-over studio
Hello all. I just found this great forum while trying to help a friend that wants to build a voice-over studio. I work at a post house and have higher end gear and I'm not too knowledgeable of the gear he is aiming for in his budget ($5K to $8K) Basically he wants to have a simple but professional sounding setup that can record 2 microphones at a time max.

Portable Voice Recorder advice? (ZH4, MR-1, Edirol)
I'm a voice-over hobbyist in my spare time (and hopefully one day as a career), but I've found that lately I don't really have the time to sit down at my computer and record in peace and quiet.
