Deep voice...tracking tips?
Hey, I have been rapping, recording and mixing myself for a couple years now and I am always looking to better my ears and my technique. Even if you may not like rap my questions are pretty general. First of all, we only have one vocal chain available to record through (very basic home setup) and we record in a treated room so the vocals are pretty dry (no room acoustics).

Invoice fees
Couple of question on fees.
Would you guys please give me some advise on how you brake down charges for studio time.
What does your invoice look like and consist of?
..and when you record your own band, how do you charge them any differently and show them the break down of charges.
Thanks very much guys-!

EQ Voices Cinema - Theatre
Hi all !
I'm mixing a Trailer for theatres in Argentina, and I can't find out the EQ and type of compression for voice over talent trailers.
The trailers sounds amazing and the voice over talents so much, Any ideas to find out that sound quality ?
I'm working in Pro Tools HD 3, PRE I/O, Avalon, Genelec Monitors, etc.

Balancing Voices One Channel
Situation: Mono casette tape of 4 guys talking. Recording was made on cheap tabletop recorder. Two of the four people recorded with inadequate volume.

recording has crackling voices, can i fix or back in they go
I made a big mistake  ! I placed 2 condenser mics in the same live room.
I was invited over to do some recording and found a small bedroom with no absorption on the walls, ouch! Some of the things we do to get out of the house.
Radio Voice
How do I give my voice the big bottom end you hear on the radio? To make it sound thicker?

Best pre for my type of voice
Hello all
I am new to this forum. I am recording my own CD on pro tools at my home studio) mastered at ludwig's place this summer (saved up for that). I had a pal's api preamp but he took it with him to California.
I have a RODE ntk microphone (which I know is not "high-end " but I happen to like it). Am considering the upgrade to a u87 soon.

Voice123 and others...
I have wanted to get more work as now I have the time. I am a voice over guy (artist) -- I image radio stations, commercial production for local and national business, and so on...
Question? Are voice123 and a hand full of other websites just like it, worth paying close to 200.00 for their services to find you voice work?

1950s and 1960s Voice-overs
I'd love to capture that 1950s/60s Voice-over sound you hear on all the old short films. You know...the old documentaries, or instructional videos. Plenty on archive.org to sift through. They always begin with the heavy orchestra, then comes Mr. Voiceover.
It's a very distinct sound, other than just the vocal styling itself. Does anyone happen to know how to recreate such a thing?

Recording voice & piano - what preamps?
Hello,
I've been recording choirs for about a year now using a matched pair of Oktava mics (MK012) with some great results. The only problem is the signal is usually very quiet.
