I want to make sure this isn't an error from me doing something wrong.

Computer with a R16 via USB and my Gemini Monitors plugged in L and R with XLR to 1/4 inch.

any suggestions? I would hate to think its defective when its my fault. I even switched the cables L & R and the same woofer did not have anything coming out

If you've swapped the Left signal into the Right Monitor and the Right signal into the Left Monitor and the same woofer still isn't working - I don't know what other conclusion you could draw.

You can see if operating the controls on the back of the bad speaker makes any difference. I suppose the volume (or if they have any adjustment to balance woofer/tweeter) could have some oxidation. Typically powered monitors have separate amp channels for the woofer and tweeter after an internal crossover. So if the tweeter works and the woofer doesn't, odds are the incoming signal is fine and the woofer or it's amp channel are the culprit.

If they are new, they're are under warranty. Do NOT take a screwdriver to it, or you will void the warranty.

Good luck.
