I am currently using a creamware luna 2 to process guitar and vocal live. using the luna, all effects are midi controllable.

My question:

I know it is possible to put effects on the incoming signal using nuendo. I haven't figured out how to control the directx/vst effects with midi yet. if this was possible i could take some of the dsp load off of the luna, and use it for synth plugins. also, the midi track synced to the backing tracks could do effects parameter changes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Hmm...ya know...I dont think I have ever tried real time effects with MIDI before!! Thanks, I'm gonna go play with this idea!!
The only one I know of that works like that is the Native Instuments Pro 52 and the B4..I think there are others but not sure..I'm more of an Audiophile than a Midi-it!! lol
This is a good topic man..nice to have something different for once!!
Good Job

Sorry! i forgot to mention an example.

(there is a program for mac that will do this called vbox.)

i have been able to set up reaktor as a vst effects send, and map it's knobs to continuous controllers (in nuendo). with nuendo, you are able to draw a control envelope for every directx/vst parameter. is there a way to map the parameters to a midi control number?

anyone have experience doing this? i am also routing gigasampler back through the luna, and modulating the drummer realtime. it would be perfect if i could do this with nuendo. the dsps on the luna can't touch the processing power of my pc. (plus, TC native doesn't make a pulsar reverb).
