Hello everyone.

I am looking for feedback on the ART TCS (Twin Compressor).
I have researched the product info briefly.

Its a dual tube compressor.
On it you can choose between optical and VCA compression.
It seems to be well featured, and can be used as a DI.
It has comp knobs, plus the V3 selectable voicing like the DPS, too.

One downside is no A/D conversion. I am interested in it over the DPS II, for example. Will use for tracking.

I am looking for specific experience with this unit here, instead of just replies like "do go for ART".

I was able to find two pages of reviews online, but thats it.
So anyone tried or heard it?

Looks kewl, but the ART Pro-VLA is currently $229 at musician's friend (I just picked up 2 VLA's and a pro-channel). The VLA is likely the best "budget" colorful compressor/limiter on the market for under $400 - $500.

The switchable Opto/VCA design of the TCS sounds cool, too. I have heard that the DPS uses "starved plate voltages" on the tube, where as the VLA and MPA use higher voltages on the tubes. The TCS will likely share the DPS's low plate voltage.

Sorry - no hands-on with the TCS :(
