Hi. I am having trouble with syncing 2 828MKII through Firewire. I am using a PC with XP SP2. Hardware wise I have 2.8GHz Intel P4, 2Gb of RAM and am using Cubase SX. The 828's go out of sync as soon as I open the Cubase program or even the MOTU FW Audio Console. Has anyone had this problem? I am very new to this side of the Audio Industry as I mainly do live Audio and want to experiment with recording my shows and learn a little about the recording side.

Hi. I have managed to solve my problem by reinstalling Windows XP porfessional (No service pack) I was told that it was an SP2 problem. Apparently MOTU even suggest that you remove SP2 from your system as it causes the Firewire speed to be lowered to 100 Mb/s as apposed to 800 Mb/s or 400 Mb/s. So after reinstalling Windows XP without service pack 1 or 2 and updating it from the MS website it has performed flawlessly. This is a great site BTW.
