I havent seen any reviews yet, but I have heard a few good things.
I do own a few carvin products and I have no complaints and only praise on these. (power amp and guitar)

I purchased a monitor power amp for a stage system once, from them and it was the weirdest sounding amp I ever heard.. I sent it back and have never tried another one of their products. They used to make a recording console years ago, before the home recording revolution took hold, that was pretty good as an affordable solution for those who had small format 1/2" 8 tracks.

I have seen the ads for these monitors and I don't think they would be that great. They are most likely assembled using off the shelf components that are readily available to Carvin and are absolutely designed to a price point. Speakers like this almost never live up to the advertising hype.

Keep in mind that you will hear good things about almost anything. We have had people make posts here trying to tell us that Behringer stuff is the best ... It is a good rule of thumb that any inexpensive monitor will leave a lot to be desired.. Really good speakers cost a lot of dough.

Yeap,
I dont know too many companies that are great at everything. Its hard to tell whats good or not these days even if you do tons on research, seems the only way to know for sure is by trying stuff out yourself...

Still curious as too how these would compare to say the behringer truths and other monitors of that level... I wouldn't expect much.

They would most likely perform along the same lines as the Alesis, Behringers and Events ... at that price point most of the stuff performs comparably. Monitors don't really begin to stand out
until you hit a price around $500 each.

For the budget conscience I like the Hafler powered monitors and KRK monitors.. Another low cost alternative is the Yamaha MSP 5's which I wrote a review for. Check the "Reviews" forum for that.
