I was just curious. Does anyone here mix a little in regular computer monitors before going on to refine in studio monitors?

General consensus is that mixing on studio monitors gives you the truest version of your recordings, which then hopefully will allow you to compensate for different speakers and environments. If you are rough mixing with not as accurate of a loudspeaker, in a less than ideal environment you will only be making more work for yourself in the long run.

IMHO YMMV
