Hi

Tired of lugging computers around I'm considering the purchase of a Mackie SDR2496 for my remote recording gigs (I do quite a lot); I already have preamps and A/D, but I'm investigating in a rackmount, compact line mixer to monitor the recordings; so far I've been thinking about something like http://www.Behringe…"]THIS[/]="http://www.Behringe…"]THIS[/] but it's 16 channels and you cannot unlink the stereo pairs for independent panning; though 16 inputs should be more than enough for most of the gigs I do, do you have any ideas about something similar that's a little more flexible in that price range (it's quite cheap) or a little above?

In the end I need a 16 to 24 line mixer with pan and level on each channel, headphone out and main stereo out (maybe an aux send for overdubs), no EQs, no FX no nothing, that's it.

Thanx for your Feedback

L.G.

Hi Rick

Yes I think that would be too big; consider that the "Tracking Rack" I'll be putting together already has the Mackie Recorder (3RU), 1 Focusrite Octopre (1RU), RME ADI 8PDO (1 RU) various analog preamps (3 to 4 RU depending on the gig), maybe an headphone amp (for ODs )so I'm looking for the most compact flexible line mixer available.

Thanx for the reply though.
