I have been on the web for long and trying to find out this answer. .I am sure ppl here would certainly not let me down.
I am looking to set up my small time home studio and have been looking for gears that suits my wallet and my needs :) . I have been looking at the features of Delta 1010LT and this one fits my needs but before I get it I wanted to know how do I sync my keyboard with the software via the sound card. I work on KORG triton LE. Now for E.g.. if I have created a song with 16 tracks and now I want to record all 16 tracks on my computer via my soundcard (not MIDI). To do this I would need to make my Keyboard follow the timing sync given by the computer software and then record 8 tracks twice but it seems in Delta 1010LT the timing sync is being send by the word clock but my keyboard only accepts midi in and out.
Pls advice me as to how do I sync the timing of my keyboard and the software via midi i/o.

i'm not sure if this will help, but maybe it will clarify your requirements:
what you are probably looking for is to run your korg in a midi slave mode, and your recording software becomes the master...
for this to work, the only connection you need hardware-wise is a midi connection- that itself is good enough. The recording software sends the midi clock signal so that the right parts play on the right bars/beats (whatever) on your korg. i use protools to trigger this for many musicians who come to the studio, all i have to do is to connect a midi out from my hardware into the midi in of the keyboard, and have "Midi Beat Clock" set to ON in protools. that does the trick. Of course, i have to set the tempo and meter correctly inside protools.
i don't know how many channels the 1010LT will record simultaneously, or what recording software you wish to use, whether that has an option to sent midi clock. This is not word clock.
