Sync Alesis HR-16 w/Pro Tools as Click
Forums
Hello All,
I just found this forum.
I am a professional studio musician (drummer). I want to use my Alesis HR-16 as a click track and have the tempo driven from Pro Tools.
I've done this many times in the past but I don't know exactly how the engineer went about setting it up.

Recording audio in hockey arena
Forums
I make game videos of a local hockey team that plays in the lower tier league. I've got most of the video equipment sorted, but would like to improve the audio in the videos. Currently I just use the built-in mic on my Canon hf g30 and built-in mics on a few gopros.

Ableton live vocal processing (advice needed)
Forums
Hi there. We decided to move on to Ableton for live processing vocals on stage. We found that Ableton provides many effects which can be used in many different ways. Currently we've got Ableton 9, Line 6 digital wifi mic and NI AUDIO KONTROL 1 sound card. Everything is ok in my home studio, but once we go in the club and plugin our gear in the sound system we have a lot of feedback.

So, I played tourist the other day, and visited some local spots with my girlfriend, kind of a "rainy day" thing...
At one point, we visited Severance Hall in Cleveland, the home of The Cleveland Orchestra:

Classical guitar Recording questions
Forums
A friend of mine is going to let me record my classical guitar in a special place at his house. He created a CMU masonry block castle 40’ tall. The castle at the bottom is 8’ diameter. He cut a door into the bottom and you can go into the belly of the castle.

Studio Stories
Forums
I've posted this thread in this forum - Studio Lounge - because that's what I picture this place to be; in a real studio, this would be the private room where engineers and producers could stop by and chat between sessions... a place where the coffee is always on (tea for our U.K.

Mic preamps, eq, mics
Forums
I've been using some different combinations
Pacifica preamp thru nail compressor by a designs
Loving the punch,clarity and dimension.
---
Ua 710 and the hammer eq by a designs got a cool 70's vibe for sure. The hammer is very musical it allows for suttke and drastic changes without damaging the audio.
it's got some cool mojo. A lot of mood.

In need of sincere feedback on my first serious tune
Forums
Hi all.
I'm kind of new to this forum. Had a little break in recording, but now trying to start again.
This song is the first result, and I'm really curious to know what others think about it, both audio and song-wise. Bands like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Fleet Foxes are a big influence to me, and I think it's noticeable on this song.
