I just joined the list tonight, and was wondering about some help. I have been using a Dell Inspiron 5000e for some time. I am about to build a computer and was wondering what to build. Here is what I am thinking about any input would be greatly appreciated. I have really enjoyed reading everything in here.

I have just bought 1 TV station and 2 radio stations in Peru, SA

I am interested in trying Canford and Taralabs cable anyone know how either can be had?

Hey every one!

It's the end of a most intense year for all of us and I just wanted to wish you all a most happy Christmas/Hanukkah holiday.

Funny, this year had a strange vibe after all the tragic occurances, so that this time of year is especially unusuwal.

Most of the engineers I works with use W2K, and they all have dual (*huge*) 21" monitors (I am *so* jealous!).

Well, I have an old 14" monitor laying around collecting dust, and would love to go to a dual monitor system if I can.

What would be the best, or better, operating system for a machine running on a 1gig P3? Is ME any good? And any opinions on Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 for some basic tinkering around?

I am finally breaking down and going as digital as possible, which is funny because I have always hated digital (compared to hi-end analog). I have a mac g3 and am looking at a delta 1010, layla 24, or MOTU 828, 2408 etc. 8 channel i/o rack units. My question is: what do most people use for a decent mic preamp or turn around since all of these units have primarily 1/4" TRS connectors?

I'm looking for some responces to the usage and sound quality of these two items. I'm interested in purchasing one or both to further enhance the quality of my vocals. My goal is to get excellent sound while at the same time satisfying my level of creativity.
