I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and KRK Rokit 6's. I want to power them off when not in use. The monitors have a switch on back, but would be much easier to flip one switch on a power conditioner. Also the interface doesn't have a power button. Somewhere I read to safely power it off, I should first shut down the computer, then unplug.

Looking for the best bang for the buck vocal microphone under $250 street price for used ones tops. Prefer closer to $200.
This is all I can afford so please just give recommendations to what I am asking. I won't save up more, I already did so, my original budget was for $100 mic, but I saved up for a $200-250 one.

I just purchased an M-Audio USB Fast Track and was surprised to find it relies completely on USB for its power. How can a 5volt USB port supply enough power for the Phantompower which is 48v? Should I get a powered USB hub?

Looking at adding another 2-bus comp to my chain. I'm going to get them both sooner or later but just wanted to hear some opinions. Please chime in and share your experiences on either of these.

I was just given the Alesis Multimix 8 USB but my friend had accidentally thrown out the power supply with some other old electronics. As it would turn out, this is very hard to find. There are no after-market power supplies made, as far as I can tell. The specs are 18V 500 mA and here is a picture of what I need:
 

I had Chris run a 2 mix of an older track I had that I want to include on my solo album. The original sounded, well, for lack of a better term, "empty"... almost as if you could put your hand through "holes" in the sonics, as if there were dead spaces in the sound.

I'm looking for a piano VST bundle that has +1000 different sounds (not just piano, but other instruments as well)
Any suggestions?
