hello!

right about know i am about to finish a lp master that's supposed
to be released on vinyl...

thats what i did so far:

analog eq-ing and some compression

result:

eq and dynamic wise all the tracks sound homogenous now !

everything good so far.

now i have all the tracks down on my daw
all levels close to 0db...

I do recordings on location to a 2-track Sony dat tape deck. I also work in the it business, where we use DDS (Digital Data Storage) tapes for system backups.

What is the difference between this two cartrigdes, Digital Audio Tapes (DAT) and DDS Tapes as mentioned above? Is there any difference in quality?

Both of them seems to work fine with my tape deck?

I would like to start to master my mix,
could i have some help or a site where i can learn,how to start.
i dont work with computer,i use a Behringer desk mx8000 and an Alesis hard disk recorder,
i would also like to diy all the pre etc

Is there a difference in quality when using a silver CD as opposed to different colored ones when burning music from pro tools? With the colored or dyed ones they don't seem to play on certain players especially the car CD. I want to find the best that's out there. Thanks for listening. You guys always seem to know the answer. :?:

Hi, i recently did a mix and "master" for a band i recorded. I'm finding the lows to be boomy especially on the kick drum and bass guitar, this might have as simple a solution as turning down the bass freqs, but i'm not quite able to do this without losing all the bass freqs entirely.

Can anyone in here honestly say that he/she doesn't hear any difference when comparing AES/EBU with SPDIF?

...regartless of equipment and/or if you have loads of "jitter-removal/reclocking boxes".

I've been using Taiyo Yuden CDRs with great success. Out of about 200 standard silver/blue CDRs, none have had issues. Out of about 100 white inkjet printable, again, no issues. Can't ask for any better than that...
