Do any of you guys have Favorite reference CD's/songs that you listen to for, high-end , bass etc. Just curious

I've been trying out the ART ProVLA lately as a tracking tool and as a final limiter. So far, I have to say I've actually been QUITE impressed! I won't say it's as good as say the Manley (DUH!) but for less than $400, it sounds DAMN good.

Right, so have recorded all the tracks that I need for the song. I have applied the appropriate EQ, Compression, Effects etc to the tracks and have Mixed them to my taste.

Hi there,

I would like to have a listen at good mixes before the mastering stage mainly regarding pop or rock music.

My goal is to get some examples to compare my mixes with, before the mastering stage.

Any place where I can get these ?

I know we've gone over this muchly, and i've read lots of other threads, but i've been trying to get a 7" released but have had my job rejected by Musicol Recording and United Record Pressing, asking them to also master it for me.

Im new to this.Say if i record a project using the onyx fw and Cubase sx3. if i want to master my material do i just export the files to burn a CD and take that CD to someone who does mastering or is there something else that is more efficient?

Oh yea and what if the mastering studio uses Pro Tools, does it matter that the material i did was on cubase?
