Condenser Mic
Forums
I just bought a firepod and I already have an sm57, 58 and a few other random mics for recording. I'm looking into getting a cheap (100-200) condenser mic to add to my setup. For what I'm recording now I dont need a fancy setup, just recording guitars, vocals and cello. Does anyone have any suggestions for descent mics in this range?

New Mic or New Pre-amp
Forums
I have a question, that has likely been answered, but I can't seem to find the answer to.
I currently use a Sudio Projects C1 microphone with an Alesis Multimix8USB Mixer. I love the Studio Projects Mic, but I want to move up a bit.. I have come across a great deal on an Audio-Technica 4050 Mic for just under $500. I've heard nothing but good things about this Mic.

Solid mic for mic-ing acoustic + electric guitar?
Forums
Hey all, noob here.
I can't believe i'm saying this about my K2 mic but..
Forums
I havent had much success with my K2 on vocals. I had much better results with my studio projects C1. The K2 just doesnt pop out and sound as full at the same time as the C1. I have to EQ the crap out the K2 track to make it stand out. with the c1, not necessary. I sent out my K2 to RODE to see if it needed a repair it just didnt sound right.
Maybe a good decca tree contender..(microphone)

looks interesting! I pretty much use my DPA 4006 exclusively for this task(with the 50mm pressure balls) but am always looking to add to the locker.

Forums
Just saw an add for them and they are cheap, a couple reviews said that they were good quality mics, I am sceptical when a ribon mic is only 159, but jsut seeing if anyone had any luck with it.
