Re-wiring an unbalanced TRS mic lead to 3 pin XLR balanced.
Sorry if this is not the best place to post this one, but it seemed the most relavent.
I have a budget mic, which uses a mono (unbalanced) jack connector.
It's a PZM mic with a battery compartment.

Small Form Factor Microphone Stand
Recording concerts in churches, temples, art galleries, etc., I am seldom able to hang microphones from above the stage. Instead, I mount my main pair of microphones on a black Bogen light stand, center stage, right in front of the ensemble. It always bothers me that I’m partly obscuring the performers from the audience.

Trickle down gear'onomics
With so many larger studios going under. Where would one look to find deals on equipment, that is from some sort of sell out? Or buyout?

"Philosophical topic": effect of vocal microphones
Yesterday I did some simple recording duties for a live act (10 people with 3xvoc, 2xgit, tp/as/tb, b, dr, el-perc). The place they played had the usual setup of microphones available (meaning for vocals a choice of SM58, SM58 or SM58).
Shure PGDMK6 6 pack drum mics?
Hi,
I am looking for a decent quality drum mic package that can be used for recording practices live off the floor (for recording demos for club owners) and also for live playing in small clubs. I have invested most of my money in my kit which kicks a** (6 piece Yamaha Recording Customs).

SE Electronic Mic 2200a
SE Electronic Mic 2200a how does this mic compare to other vocal mics? Does it compete with a TLM 103 or are they in two different classes. I'm currently using a Audio Tecnica AT3035 but I'm looking for something a lot better for vocals but can't afford too much. $500 MAX, any suggestion?

Is this microphone similar in sound quality
Hello, I bought the TLM 103, not very happy with the sound and I was thinking about selling it and buying two less expensive mics...
I want a tube mic and a valve mic.
My choices after research were the RODE NTK and the CAD M9. any thoughs or advices on my crazy ideas "(for some people)" are welcome. .

RODE k2 with Sebatron
I wanted to get some opinion on this guy's remarks about the RODE K2 I just purchased to go with my Sebatron ... I'm certainly willing to get a new mic, I just didn't want to do it based on one guy's opinion. If a few of you think he's right, I'll give the peluso a chance...
