Oktava mic a maybe?

Hey, well while I am stuck in the very cheap pro-sumer (not even Shure if I am this high :o ) I figure I might as well make the best of it. I am looking for duel purpose mics for overheads, acoustic guitar, and vocals. Well thats three things but close enough. I have narrowed down the mics to either a R0DE NT-1A or a couple of Oktava MK319's.

mic for Gibson acoustic

hello i,m looking to hire a mic for recording a gibson j30,nice sound but the mk012,s i,m using arent really doing it .i,m thinking along the lines of a large condenser possibly a u47...what do you think, the Gibson is not loud and like most Gibsons curved away in the mids,I,m strumming with my fingers and want something big and warm sounding...oh the last thing,i,m going through a Sebatron pre

Where can I rent gear in Michigan?

Im lookin to get a new micpre.Instead of askin which one I should get I want to hear them fer myself but I cant afford to buy them and return them.It would be great if I could rent different ones for a day or a few days and try them out on my own recordings before I spend my moneys.Anywhere in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area would be close enough fer me.THANKS RODNEY
