Oktava mic a maybe?
Hey, well while I am stuck in the very cheap pro-sumer (not even Shure if I am this high :o ) I figure I might as well make the best of it. I am looking for duel purpose mics for overheads, acoustic guitar, and vocals. Well thats three things but close enough. I have narrowed down the mics to either a R0DE NT-1A or a couple of Oktava MK319's.

Sanken CU-44X Mic.
I just bought a Sanken CU-44X microphone with it's
power unit(P-44X). I don't have the 4pin XLR cable.
Does anyone know anything about these mics? Seems like nobody uses them, just wondering if this is worth keeping? Meanwhile I have to find the right cable to try it out.

A Better Live Vocal Mic (for recording live) - revisite
I'm still dealing with the live recording vocal mic selection delima. We went with a beta 87a - and its a great mic - but not in this case. I think its thinning his voice out too much. (two examples) http://hummel-plum.com/ftp/tim/11s2.mp3 (slower song - quieter vox level - b87a)
Sure KSM 27 recording mic
planning to buy the sure KSM27 studio mic. The specs sound pretty good for my budget. If anyone has used this mic would be cool to hear what you have to say. Primary use is for vocals.

Vocal mic playing piano
Price is not an object! I sing my songs and record a steinway grand piano all the time. I feel that it is time for a magor upgrade in quality. I know preamps are just as important but I think I have that covered or at least enough to experiment with a nice microphone. Any suggestions.

Omni-dynamic for gtr-cab ?
Read a nice suggestion for recording a
guitar-combo (Twin Reverb) with an omni, determining the balance of direct & room
with the distance to the cabinet.
I guess a LD condenser in omni-mode could be suited but if we want to stick to a dynamic mic, which not too exotic types would be suited ?
I'm not familiar with omni dynamics.
Thanks,

Dynamic mics 4 ac. guitar
At times, I'd like a less focused sound out of my acoustic guitar than the SRO's and NT1000 gives me.
Any suggestions for good quality dynamics that work well on steel string acoustics?
seems like some cad and sennh. mics are well liked.

I will be recording an accapella group of 4 singers at the same time in my small studio space and am wondering what I can do to avoid mic spills to other mics. Any tips will be appreciated.
