Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations on EQ settings on the AMEK 9098 and Gain and Threshold Settings on the LA-2A and either use compress or limit. Im not familiar with these units and there capablitys, I came from a home recording enviornment and was asked to engineer a friends album in a corporate studio.

Got it to where I can record but playback is distorted no matter how
low my input is recorded.

I'm new to using pro tools. I have experience recording into an ADAT recorder using an analog board. I know the difference between pre and post fader modes.
When recording or doing a final mix in pro tools, should the pre fader metering be turned on or off? I am not using any EQ when recording the tracks.

Just downloaded the demo ssl plugin pak. Never been on the real deal so I can't compare but it's like the staples easy button- just turn it on! Using these plugs I find I don't need other ones that I've always used. The master bus comp just works. I will say the download process is the biggest pain in the ass ever, but when you get there-wow! :D

Has anyone tried to import their previous work from VST32 into Nuendo?

Just wondering if anyone knows the name of the company that offer to intergration between and SSL desk and pro tools. So that the faders will control the faders in pro tools.

I know it exists and its not the AWS-900 that I'm thinking of.

i opened a pro tools file i was working on and i just recently got reason 3.0 so i wanted to try it out through rewire. i set one of my track inserts to reason rewired but when i played back no music came through. any idea of whats going on here?

Ok, I just picked this guy up from L&M on the weekend and I haven't had much time to play around with it yet (2 hours) but I've noticed something that kind of bugs me. I plugged in an SM57 to record acoustic guitar with, just as a quick little test. I also plugged in a direct line from my guitars active pickup. Both lines were into pre-amp channels 1 and 2 on the 400f respectively.

OK I hope I can explain what I’m looking for and I would be grateful for any information, I already read some good stuff. But I was lucky to have a friend in the recording field. Well he is starting out. He has a nice setup too. To me he does but he just got a Yamaha 01V mixer, but we need AT card.

I am seeking to make my own vocal samples but wish to use different voices for different samples so I am looking for a "software" that can help with the tweaking of my voice, any links please? Thanks.
