I read on here (naturally I can't find the topic to quote now) that Apple G5 duals have trouble with Pro Tools HD.

Is this true? Does this also apply to Pro Tools LE? I'm planning on getting a new Mac and LE. Would there be any problem there?

First, I want to reiterate what many have said about this forum...it does indeed kick much ass. I've read so much about so many of you, I feel as if I know some of you quite well just from checking out your comments, suggestions and (minor) arguments...!

Hey everybody. I'm having some problems with my home studio, and need some help. When I try to open Cubase SX, it tests for my hardware, and it says "The test was not succesful. The current setup did not produce reliable sync information." Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hi, I'm having a problem with saved files from SX 2. It seams to be random but some of my projects are several hundred mb large and take a good 10 - 20 minutes to open. Any idea what this could be? the particular project that has been the last straw is only audio files with 3 plugins for effects being used.

I am considering buying a used 2-track for mixdown, instead of
the DAT or ITB that I do now. Will any reasonably well-maintained 2-track do the job (once aligned and cleaned, and perhaps relapped) of giving my mixes the warmth I need?

I was just looking at the specs on the Behringer ep2500 power amp and I realized it says that baby sucks 9.6amps. Now at that rate on a normal 15 amp circuit that you'd encounter a lot, you couldn't even run 2 of them on one could you? I highly doubt it's 9.6amps continuous unless its pushing max power, right? whats the opinion.

Does anyone use HIFI amp/reciever to power their studio monitors?
Some HIFI amps are very well built with very high quality components and cost MUCH more then the stuf fyou can buy at the Guitar Center. So I wonder wy not use one of those for the studio.
Would you recommend one to power NS10?
