Why my tone is lost in this:

Guitar---Rocktron Pro Gap Ultra (send to)---Digitech 128 Plus(return to)--- Rocktron Progap Ultra---output--- Amp

When i use the mix button in the back of the Rocktron or in the Digitech my guitar tone lost some db's and the sound is very weak...

Alright, I do mainly hip hop , r&b music.
Lots of rap vocals. So its widely known the with hip hop , if the drums don't thump, the songs not happening all the way.

I'm looking to invest in my first outboard compressor. I have lots of
experiece with the uad stuff as well as waves. But I think the plugs are missing what I need for that true thump.

I've decided my next purchase is a Mackie controller. Not interested in alternatives unless they are as well LCD'd well as as the Mackie rig.

I've got some old outboard gear. Nothing high-endjust some delays, multi effect boxes and a couple old Quadraverbs. For most of the stuff I do, they do the trick. But for "cleaner" recordings, they sound like what they are, average pieces of gear.

Hello! I've been searched for while about this topic, but, alas, I've found nothing. So, I'm coming here to ask.

I was advised by quite a few of you to purchase one of these two mics to replace my Oktava MK319 as a vocal mic.

Since the microphone will be my "go to" for both male and female vocals for a while. which would be a better purchase and why?

I'm unfamiliar with both so your input would be great!

hi ive been having major problems with my computer and ive reinstalled everything and touch wood its working fine now:) biut for some reason when i try and input a wav sample or try and preview a vst effect i cant hear the sample or effect until ive double clicked on the item and installed it into my project page..i know its a simple problem but my heads still buzzing from getting the thing wor

The book I have, Cubase SX/SL3 power, by Robert Guerin, says SL3 comes with the "UV22 dither plugin ," which is apparently located in the 'other VST effects' submenu.

I can't find it, granted I'm not an experienced user.

Anyone out there found it? if so what's the map to get there?
