Anyway...

Hi all, I've just purchased and installed a MAudio Mobile pre with the aI'm of recording some live guitar & vocals, then mixing in some synths.

So I plug the acoustic in, click record in Cool Edit pro, and play a couple of licks. But when I play it back, the guitar is only on the left or right channel (depending on the channel I plug it into).

Hello hello are there any Fairchild 670 owners out there? I am looking on a small but legible picture showing the lateral/vertical controls for a paper I am writing on the history of mastering - due in like ten days :( Can anyone help me?
Also I haven't discovered when these machines were first being built.

Kurzweil Rumour or the Kurzweil Mangler...

Street price is $500 to $550;

The A/D D/A conversion is impressive. I like the reverbs on the Rumour as well.

I am looking at buying an old compressor and this is the brand name.

Anyone ever use one of these? I just got one for super cheap, I figured I will get some sort of dirty flanger effect outa it by the looks.

I have experienced overload on my TLM 103 while recording vocals. I'm going to an Apogee Mini-Me with a soft limit curve on. However it seems the only solution is having the singer move a few steps back. I believe this is due to capsule overload, even though its overload capability is somewhere near 138 dB SPL. What should I do to prevent this? I know this model has no pad switch.

My mom who is famous for knitted sox and yellow santa sweaters sent me the Beatles "Let it Be..Naked" CD.

For those of you who don't know, this is the original Let IT Be Sessions of the Beatles playing as a band with no overdubs, before Phil Spector got his hands on it and added choirs, orchestras etc.
