I currently use Cubase and plan to upgrade to Cubase SX. I follow many other forums on computer recording and many are biased to a certain software.

I get the summertime blues with my Yamaha ProMix1. In the hot months, it makes bad noises, but is fine the rest of the time. I want to rectify (no pun intended) this problem. Do I want a line conditioner, a voltage regulator, or both? The mixer itself is in a cool room in the summer.

i need to mix down from protool and the final result is a Cd to give to a customer.
what is the best chain here to mix down?

Just wanted to let everybody know that the new Digital I/O for Digi has just been released.

It is expected to ship 4-15-02. Here is some preliminary info on it.

I'm wondering if anyone has taken the plunge and upgraded to Sonar 2.0? I've got 1.0.3 and like it a lot, but I can't really tell from Cakewalks advertising whether the new stuff they've added makes the upgrade price worth it for right now. For me to upgrade from S1-XL to S2-XL is $169.

I got chatting with a Digidesign employee yesterday and we got discussing how long it will be before Logic announce support of the HD system.

The last time we spoke about this the time frame was a little hard to swallow, but now he says that Emagic don't think there is any call for them to upgrade Logic for Pro Tools HD support!
