Hi. Is anyone using this? Is the latency workable for overdubs? I would be using it with a MacBook and Logic Pro 7 (along with the Mini-DAC). I want a High Quality portable setup capable of making field recordings and to be able to bypass the preamp/converters on a studio that I work which has a Yamaha OV1. Thanks

I am a home recordist as it were currently using a Korg D8, but looking to upgrade quickly to 16 track.
I was looking at the Boss BR1600 for the guitar effects amongst other things but reading a few reviews put me off, so then I looked at Yamaha AW1600 which has rave reviews and is cheaper in the UK.

I have a guitar that I want to record by the Line-in input. Now my problem is, that when I want to record some riffs, the input always fades in.

Here is an example...

I have a pair of LiveWire Advantage brand cables connecting my Dynaudio BM5A's to my MOTU 828, and it sounds just fine to me. But I was wondering, does anyone know how this brand stacks up against the "good" stuff like Mogami? Has anyone ever made comparisons with this cable against those other brands?

I am curious to know if there is any advantage/disadvantage of having the signal of my guitar going through a consumer analog tape deck?

My signal path is: Guitar > (A/D) Effects box > (D/A converter) > Classic stereo deck > MBox 2 pro.

Is it possible to use the rca to 1/4" type of connector with SPDIF for use in a 1/4" patchbay? Thanks in advance!
