I bought a used Roland EXR-5 and want to use it as a Midi controller to record on a computer with Cubase LE. I will need some driver or software so that the computer recognizes the MIDI info, dont I? Only thing I could find online is this, is this right? Anyone know where the link is? Please help. Thanks Michel

its not all the time it comes and goes and it gets us off beat i tried a different program to record and it still does the clicking i was thinking maybe it was a connection by the way I'm recording with my pc which is connected to a Mackie cr1604 i tried recording on a different channel but it does the same thing

hi all. i desperately want to get into digital recording, I'm going to buy either Cubase or Pro Tools just to get recordings done in my room.i have used both Cubase and Pro Tools in college before and i found Cubase much easier to use but Pro Tools is pretty much the industry standard.

does anyone know if the mytek 8X96 is compatible with pro tools HD? (i'm assuming that its not...) if not, is it possible to use a pro tools HD compatible DIO card with it to compensate? or any other possibility?

i can't find any media that works anymore! help! any info would be appreciated...

p.s. i just tried HHB CDr74 gold and HHB CDr80ip and neither work. :(

hi all I'm new to digital recording and i desperatley want to get into it further.I have used Cubase and pro tools in college afew times and I'm looking to buy either of the two just to do recordings at home, but I'm not sure which to buy, i found Pro Tools quite confusing but iv been told that it is the best one to get to grips with since it is pretty much the industry standard.

When Micing up a Resonator Guitar i would use a sure sm57 placed directly towards the guitars sound board is this the correct placement to pick up the tone quality and if so is it best to use an sm 58 or an sm57 to do this or another mic which is durable enough to gig with.
