I'd like to start out by saying I'm new to recording and to these forums, and am in need of aid w/ my current recording setup.

Hey guys
i was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice on getting great guitar tones using a b52 tube amp and a selection of mics (Shure, nady, mxl). I'm trying to get a tone like the ones you would hear on Blink 182, New Found Glory, and Sum 41 albums. The sounds I am getting right now aren't terrible, but I know I can do better on guitar tone as well as all around.

This may or may not have been asked before, but I've done several searches in the forums and can't seem to find the info I'm looking for.

Is it possible to use an Alesis ADAT as an 8 channel interface to a PC?

So a few years ago in a fit of stupidity I went blindly off a salesperson's suggestion and bought an ART TPS II.

It's been sitting unused for a long long time. Today I thought "gee, I'll think I'll try to sell it."

I have a Hercules Game Theater for my computer audio. it came with this Yamaha S-YXG50 SoftSynthesizer. What the heck is that, and what can i do with it?

Hi I am looking for some good drum samples for metal(Kick, Snare and toms) I can use Gog or Wav.

I'm getting ready to mix a song I need help with the EQ Rolloff Frequincies. 10 Tracks of Drums 5 piece 2 overheads 1 room mic ride and hihat, 4 guitar tracks and 1 Lead Guitar, 2 Bass lines 1 distorted and 1 clean,2 Vocal tracks. Thanks for any help on this in advance!

I need some help! I tried asking the guys at Guitar Center but all they do is want to sell me something... The people at Daddy's Junky Music don't know anything. I am looking to upgrade my recording rig really soon but I'm confused about which route to take. My rig now consists of Pro Tools M-Powered, 2 X M-Audio Delta 66's with Omni Breakout boxes.

I purchased a hot rod PC from shop specializing in silent audio workstations. I am using Sound Forge 8.0 with, first, an m-audio: audio quattro usb 4 in 4 out box. The PC was randomly restarting and I was getting a lot of static and short dropouts in my recordings.
