Hey I have 2 ART Pro MPA's just like you and I had read your post a long time ago about how you swapped out the tubes. I have tried to locate either some westinghouse 12df7 or raytheon 12df7's but to no avail. Any other suggestions as to what kind of tubes I could try. I'm looking for one with possible a warm sound and kind of on the darker side. Thanks for your help.

...so: I have a cheapo set of computer speakers that use a subwoofer that is a bit too loud. There is no volume control for the sub, but I imagine I could add a couple of resistors to the line that feeds it to lower the level.

Will this work? If so, what value might you smart people suggest to lower the level, say, 3db? 5db?

I have found a DDA 16 track m-series mixing desk which i can buy for around £400 but there isn't much information on this desk on the internet. It comes without a manual and so i am unaware of the specifications.

Can anyone help me out, tell me what you know about the desk etc... is this a good deal?

I have a large quite live and nicely sounding room available (~12m x 30m x 4.5m) which is quite live sounding and want to experiment a bit with recording there to take advantage of the natural reverb, as opposed to always using those very dead recording rooms.

well here's the biggest question for my DAW studio so far...after deciding that to be taken seriously as a commercial studio i would need an analog desk, i realised i don't know that much about them.

For no reason at all, I decided to put together a guide for beginners for recording rock guitar. I'm not expert but I've been doing the studio thing full time for 4 years learning on my own. I've never really found an extensive guide on the subject so I just started typing.

I hope you can find some use for it.
