I've already posted this as a reply to another topic, but I feel I should start a new thread too.

for starters, ive done my research to this point, including searching past forums topics and posts, reading reviews, and talking to as many people as possible.

A few things that I no longer see or do anymore:

--Good compressors only having 1 knob...

--Playing albums at 16 speed to learn solos...

--Microphones with little switches that started the cassette recorder... (if you have one, I want it!)

hi all. just had a question. Im a little new at this so understand. lol. anyways. I am trying to have a configuration where i can record drums guitar bass and vocals, but have the capability of using a mixing board for the mix after the recording is already made. specially drums. Only because plugins are dragging my comp down.

OK, I AM OFFICIALLY STUMPED! I HAVE AN ART TUBE PREAMP FOR MY VOCALIST Mic AND NO MATTER WHAT SETTINGS I USE I GET A INTERMITTENT DISTORTION. ALSO I AHVE A CLIENT WHO HAS A PIANO WHICH SEEMS TO DISTORT EVEN AT LOW END RECORDING. I HAVE REPLACED CABLES AND STILL BOTH OF THESE KEEP OCCURRING. I AM RUNNING PROTOOLS 6.4 WITH NO PHANTOM POWER ON FOR PROTOOLS.

Hi. I currently use a SAPPHIRE 579 Radeon 9250 256MB 64-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card video card and would like to eventually run 2 LCD monitors simultaneously. This card does have a DVI and S-Video out but I don't know if this will help me accomplish what I need it to do.

I just got the new BASS PODXT PRO and am VERY impressed. WOW! this thing has ended my search for the killer bass sound. I'm running it through one of my Avalon u5's and straight into an HDR. it's almost toooo easy to get that"sought after tone placement!. anybody else have anything good to say about it

It seems my last post somehow got deleted, but I wanted to get some ideas on a cheap recording equipment. Something that has 2 inputs at least for microphones/DI. I'm a beginning recorder and I want something to record my own stuff, and also my bands. I was looking at this one...
