There is a guy selling one of these units in good shape for $200. Is it worth it to record to tape? Is this unit any good? Should I take the plunge with tape or should I worry about preamps first?

I am hoping some one here can help me out with this. I am trying to get the two units to communicate properly. I can actually get the 3216 to rewind,fast forward, and play recordings on pro tools but I can't figure out how to get the faders,pans,mutes or solos to work.

Does anyone here have a template or some thing? Any recomendations.

I am looking for a Digital interface with Mic preamps and firewire, that's both reasonable and good sounding (Is there such a device?)

Any thoughts on the above mentioned interfaces or other ones like them, in the same price range will greatly appreciated?

hey guys probably the worst question ever i know the answer but i just wanna know for sure from pressionals, when connecting monitors you use speaker cables right? can you use mic cables cause thats what the guy at a music store gave to my mother idk why but he did?

Just curious:

1. Who all here has invvested in one (or more) of these?

2. What do you think about getting tracks on XM? Has anyone tried, do you find it to be easy/difficult?

I'm pretty sure this may have been asked before, but for some reason the search function isn't working. With the delta 1010lt, from the description I see that it has : 8x8 analog I/O, balanced on female XLR and unbalanced on gold-plated RCA connectors, with signal level adjustments selectable within the Delta Control Panel.

The College in my town has opened a nice studio...good space, but, we are having a problem...the college have a Radio Station too(with the respective humoungous antenna)...the studio contractor aparently forgot to add the Faraday cage in the studio...so, the radio is coming to my equipments...and hearing in the headphones...what can i do to eliminate or minimize the radio effect in the studio?

We're using Ptools HD3 with 2 192 I/O (24in 16 out) and a Control24. we're planning to upgrade the studio. Which one will sound great : install summing mixer with additional ADDA or change the C24 to a Digital Mixer like Yamaha DM2000 or Sony's?
