As far as I know the information being passed through an ADAT Optical Digital out can only go as high as 48K. But I was researching the Focusrite Octopre and it states that there is a new ADAT spec that now makes it possible to use ADAT to transfer 96k digital information. Has any one heard about this? Or does any one know where I can get info on this new spec?

I'm looking at picking up a decent compressor, mainly for voice work but if I could use it for music too it would be ideal. I was thinking about the FMR RNC, any opinions? Without spending a fortune, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Those of you with experience in recording chamber, orchestral and other types of live purely acoustic music, what type of preamp have you liked the most?

I'm thinking of building a stereo recording set up for only these purposes. (2 Mics, 2 Pre's, 2 analog tracks). I thought I'd start by asking about preamps first.

I have things all syncing but I have a question about the superclock(port 6) and also a question about the locked function on the nano sync.
