I'm a beginning engineer fed up with the new Mackie and Behringer sound, looking for something different. I found an Allen and Heath CMC32 (24 channel) mixer for sale in my area, in great condition for a good price. Does anyone have an opinion on this board? Any info is much appreciated!

Help I'm video stupid! How do I go about setting up two monitors on my pro tools 002 rack for mix and edit views and how do I move between the two? Video card recomended? Thank you in advance and I hope I am not sounding as stupid as I feel.

If so what are your opinions of it? Most importantly, how does it sound?

i downloaded the Sony oxford eq for demo purposes and i was wondering if anyone had sometips/best practices for using it...

or perhaps even a few settings to share as a starting point.

i was hoping to use it on mainly on vocal tracks.

i am using it on Digital performer 4.12 with powercore firewire 1.8 on a G4 with Panther.

What are some techniques for getting that really phat with attack type kick sound. I've never had problems getting standard rock, blues, R&B sounds but I was listening to Stone Temple Pilots last night and what a great huge kick.
How are you guys getting these sounds without eating up valuable head room.
Is multing the kick a good option ?

Anybody know if there is a way to convert sd2s to wav files than going out from a PT system and recording into another daw with, say, wavelab?

I know JAM should play sd2 files, can you convert w/ it as well?
