A couple of weeks ago I had to upgrade from a 4 track Tascam Portastudio 414mk2 cassette to a Tascam DP03 digital recorder because I couldnt find new blank cassettes and I dont use ebay.So,I upgraded.Brought a brand new DP03.I have it set up with:
Roland RD700sx stage piano,
Roland KC350 amp and a
mic with XLR plug.

Not that there are many Audition users in this forum it being marketed to broadcast production and post.

Ok, new to audio mixing. I'm a software/ web guy who spends a lot of time in Adobe and have used Soundbooth some. However, I have spent a lot of time in Premiere Pro so I'm comfortable in an editing environment. Now I have been given a new task and I'm at a loss for where to begin.

Are there any advantages of going through a mixer and into a PC via USB? OR would I be better off going directly from a mixer and into a PCI card via audio ports?

It has been suggested to me that a quality converter could be a better choice for my ISA 2 than plug it to my Liquid Saffire 56 input. So I'm looking for a better converter than those in the saffire. (at least a bit better cause the line input seem not to go directly to the converter but to some part of the preamp.)

#1MBP - One-Man Band Project

I'm having a hard time with it. I've heard great room tone on many classic albums. But my room tones always sound like a slapback echo, even when I'm just using a reverb. I swear there is no echo/delay being used. I hate that slapback echo on a rhythm guitar! On the classic albums they sound like an "amp in a room".
