I just lost 2 master projects ready to burn to CD with CD Arch today because it just plain disappeared. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no good - SoundForge will open, but when trying to open CD Architect in Tools, nothing happens. Phone tech support is now paid, but I managed to get someone from customer service.

My woofer blew out on my other set of monitors and if i turn them up past 1/3 way, i get nothing but farting noises. After calling tech support and finding out it's going to be a while before i get them fixed, i decided that i'd go to the local music superstore and see if i can find a small pair of monitors that can get me through this time.

I'm trying to find software that will take one track of sound that has say, two voices talking, and filter out one of the voices from the track. Anyone know of software that will do this?

I've read all I can at the Fairlight site about AV Transfer. It mentions Fairlight ML3 and ML4 format. Is it compatible with MFX3 plus?

I know some already have been sold.

I have a Toshiba 5005/504 pc/laptop w/ 1.1 gig, 512 ram. I'm planning on using it to master bands I record at my studio, and use the Wavelab 4.0 live monitoring for freq. analysis. (Coming out of my d8b's S/PDIF or AES) What soundcard/interface would you recommend? I'll need digital I/O and good a/d d/a's.

I've been getting mixed information. I use a Mackie MDR 24 HD recording unit with an analog board. I have no outboard converters. Has anyone tried a external word clock with a single unit? Will it improve the sound of my built in converters or is it a waste of time?

Has anyone heard of these? They sound really awesome for $90... It has compression, exciter, surround functions, etc...
