I have Sonar 1.3.1 and a MOTU 2408 connected to a Sony DAT through SPDIF. The playback of the recorded audio is speeded up about twice as fast as the original tempo. Has anyone encountered this?

a mix on different sets of non powered monitors. I am currently using a speaker switcher connected to a single power amp.This works but I'm wondering if there is a better way?

I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a good/great DA converter which will be significantly better than the one I have in my O1v. It's something about it that doesn't excite me too well. As far as price goes, I'm willing to spend no more than $1500 unless it won't become extinct anytime soon(1-2 yrs).
