I want to use Steinberger-NUENDO DAW software and I want to know what is the best PC Hardware with multiprocessors (2 to 4 Pentiun III)under Windows 2000 to use with it?
I intend to use more than 72 track and lots of plugins, inclusiv surround Dolkby and DTS encoding.

ive been searching for a good rackmount chassis to build my new PC DAW around. the carillon systems look good, but they are pre-configured. this would be good in some instances, but i want to be responsible from the ground up.

Do both of these mics sound the same in cardoid mode? Is the only difference in these mics the choice of multi patterns or is it a completely different design?

I am overseeing the purchase of a new PT MIXPlus rig with a G4(?) for a new studio. The questions I have are:

Is it normal for the VST effects to be much quieter in Exported audio, than they were when you were monitoring them?

My name is Azman and I'm from Malaysia. I've been using Nuendo since version 1.02. I use it mainly for audio-post for feature films.
This is a powerful program..make no mistake about it..now if only the mixer section and video section can be improved, this would be a standard where all DAWs are compared...

GOOD quiestion.
I consider my self to have a discerning ear, and I have never heard one.
The techs I talk to say that the bit pattern is so wide-spread (and light), that
it takes software to detect it.
