Hello recording gurus. I've decided to re-build my recording studio. I was initially a PC guy and decided to convert to a MAC. Due to financial setbacks, I'm limited to purchase an older mac. I've came across both a G5 dual 2.3 ghz, 250 gb, and 3.5 gb RAM for $180. Seller used the platform for mixing electronica music. He has pro tools and logic preinstalled.

I need some cheap studio monitors that are best for producing hip hop (heavy bass) and edm.

Any recommendations?

I also constructed an isolated booth w/ a window and 90% - 95% covered in studio foam any ideas?

I am looking for an external (usb preferred but firewire not ruled out) interface or "sound card" that has both digital coax as well as optical S/PDIF inputs.

I was about to upload my music to TuneCore who would then distribute it to iTunes, Spotify, etc. and noticed that they said to make sure my music was in 16 bit format. It was my understanding that 16 bit is just for burning CDs.
