Could someone tell me how much better this would sound?

I have an Acer Aspire x1200 Model AX1200-U1510A I heard that acer computers dont have very good sound cards, and I was thinking of purchasing an E-Mu 1616m PCI soundcard and all that it comes with for my condenser microphone, I heard the E-Mu ones are some of the best Studio Quality soundcards for computers, would it make my vocal recordings THAT much better?

di box between amp and mixer ?

sorry if this is a novice question but i have gotten a new amp recently a new marhall mg halfstack. I need to run it through to my Tascam portastudio 2488neo. there is no mixer output on the new amp. i was wondering is it even recomendable to run out from the spare cabinet extension on my head through a di box and straight into my Tascam?

Rokit 5, Rubicon 5, or anything else for indie/folk

I heard the Rokit 5's at GC and thought they had a high roll off that would be very troublesome. However I heard through forums and reviews that the Rubicons have a low roll off thats annoying.

The music i'm mixing is folky/indie stuff. Mostly acoustic guitars, drums, bass, electric guitar, synth, various percussion.
